2005 DeBartolo Family Foundation All-Star Charity Gala

On Friday, February 25 th , 2005, Tampa 's biggest charity event of the year included a lineup of the most renowned celebrity names in sports, entertainment and the military. Over 600 guests and 35 celebrities gathered at the A La Carte Event Pavilion for The DeBartolo Family Foundation All Star Charity Gala. The evening raised more than $420,000 that benefited charities in the Tampa Bay area. The money raised was dispersed to the annual high school scholarship program, several financial grants and grass-roots charity organizations through the Spirit of Humanity Awards.

The evening featured both live and silent auctions. Charisse Strawberry graciously gave the invocation while the musical entertainment for the evening was provided by Motown recording artists, The Spinners . Tables were set for an Asian fusion theme while calla lilies and orchids graced the pavilion. Paper lanterns hung overhead and fortune cookies, containing raffle tickets, were sold to win exciting prizes and to benefit the evening fund raising goals. The response for the 2005 gala was tremendous reaching a sold-out capacity for the 3rd year in a row.
